Does your company provide or rely on such a system?

  • If your system was built a decade or two ago, today it may be blocking business growth rather than supporting it.
  • Overgrown, inconsistently expanded systems prevent the introduction of new features, such as AI integration.
  • Non-intuitive systems discourage new generations of employees and require hours of training.

Why do we call them legacy systems?

Because while they remain the backbone of many companies, they were created in a different technological era. Expanded over the years, they often fail to meet today’s usability standards or modern business requirements. Instead of driving growth, they begin to restrict it. We help organisations regain their value.

Our role is to streamline these sprawling systems. We give them new quality and enable further growth. Through research, UX design, and experience in optimising ERP, CRM and HIS-class systems, we help organisations get rid of technological debt.

Designing a modern Hospital Information System (HIS)

When redesigning a HIS-class system for a medical software provider, we had to address unique challenges: massive amounts of data, a high-paced work environment, and the need for maximum clarity.

Wayfair – redesign of CRM tools and a 32% usability improvement

For the American e-commerce company, we redesigned a set of CRM tools used by marketing teams. We introduced a new information architecture, prototypes, and usability tests, as well as developed a component library. The result? Streamlined processes, thousands of hours of manual work automated, and a 32% increase in the System Usability Scale score.

Redefining the digital employee experience for Glencore

Our UX research involved over 7,000 employees across 10 countries and 100 in-depth interviews, allowing us to build personas, test information architecture, and prepare a change implementation framework. The result is a new global intranet, now available to 45,000 employees.

Forterro BPSC – a flexible redesign of an ERP system with nearly 30 years of history

Together with Forterro Poland, we refreshed and streamlined one of the most important ERP systems on the market. Our task was to create a modern vision of the system that would maintain its flexibility while ensuring greater clarity and intuitiveness.

Virgin Galactic – redesign of digital tools

As part of a project commissioned by Dassault Systèmes, we supported Virgin Galactic in improving the digital tools used by pilot-astronauts and technical crews during pre- and post-flight inspections. The solution we designed is a key element of Virgin Galactic’s commercial spaceflight model.

drEryk – redesign of an application for thousands of doctors and healthcare professionals

We researched and designed the process of medical appointments and issuing eDocuments for the new online application drEryk eGabinet. The company’s product development, carried out in line with User-Centered Design, responds to the growing needs of the medical software market.

Who benefits from our expertise in optimising critical systems?

Software vendors (e.g. ERP, CRM, HIS) who want to provide their products with a modern, intuitive interface and strengthen their competitiveness in the market.

Large organisations that have built their own systems over the years and now need them streamlined, modernised, or adapted to new business realities.

Thanks to EDISONDA’s efforts, the client reduced end-to-end user workflow time by over 33% and increased the System Usability Scale score from 62 to 82. The team also automated nearly 3,000 hours of manual work per year. EDISONDA’s project management was great. They were responsive and timely.

Modernising systems burdened with technical debt

Many companies turn to us when their mission-critical systems start slowing business growth instead of supporting it.

Our role is to bring order to this chaos: we design new interaction architectures, adapt systems to modern standards, and enable their further development.

As a result, organisations can not only eliminate technological debt but also open up to new business models, integrations, and modules that were previously out of reach.

Challenges in managing system growth

Companies want to expand their solutions with new modules and functionalities. With outdated IT architectures and legacy systems, this is impossible. Over the years, systems have grown like a “Frankenstein”, expanded in different directions without consistent control.

We know how to redesign them. We start with an expert analysis, break the system down into parts, and identify potential improvements.

Then we introduce a modern approach: designing a design system, component libraries, and scalable, future-ready interfaces.

Managing generational change

New generations of employees are unable to work effectively with old systems. We have seen cases where the interface was completely unintelligible to them.

There are situations where training an employee on a WMS system takes longer than their actual workday. Increasingly, teams are also multinational.

We can help organisations better understand their clients and system users, and then propose relevant solutions. We conduct research, analysis, and present the real picture of how the product is used.
